How many surfaces must be wiped before a window counts as "cleaned"? The question sounds simple, yet it is usually the least agreed-upon point when a quote is requested. For some people window cleaning means only the side facing indoors; for others the outer face, the sash frame, the fixed casing and the grit sitting in the bottom track all belong to the same job. When looking for a service for a flat, office or apartment building in Abdurrahmanlar, part of Serik, discussing scope at this level of detail settles both the duration and the equipment from the start.
CGS Temizlik is based at Sütçüler Mahallesi 15 Temmuz Şehitler Cd No:109/D Kepez/Antalya; the service scope is discussed according to the address and access conditions. Contact: 0537 445 01 91.
The services in brief
Home cleaning covers kitchen, bathroom and living areas; office and workplace cleaning covers work areas, shared use and toilets. Post-construction cleaning separates coarse debris from fine cleaning. Empty flat cleaning focuses on cupboard interiors, bathroom, kitchen and floors. Apartment and residence cleaning covers stairs, landings and entrances; villa cleaning handles floors, rooms, stairs and windows by usage, pool maintenance excluded. Upholstery washing follows the fabric label. Window cleaning is limited to reachable surfaces.
Glass, frame and track: three items to name separately
To describe the job yourself, split it into three. First, the inner face, always treated as reachable. Second, the outer face: possible where a sliding, tilt or fully opening sash allows safe reach from inside; a fixed pane, a narrow balcony gap or a face reachable only from outside is a different matter. No promises are made for risky façade or height work. Third, the frame and track: the casing profile, the gasket line and the dust and sand collected in the bottom rail are labour separate from the glass itself. Track work usually runs as dry removal first, damp treatment after; if you do not want the glass wiped and the rail skipped, name it when asking for a quote.
If a pane shows marks, haze or something resembling a scratch, do not try to decide "which side" by running a fingernail over it. Scratches, limescale marks, paint spatter and factory coatings can look alike, and telling them apart calls for an on-site expert assessment. On coated or special glass, no method can be judged suitable without knowing the manufacturer's care instructions. For fuller scope, see the window cleaning page.
Foot traffic and work order in shared areas
Stairs, landings and entrance glazing are places everyone passes through. Starting work on wet floors without a passage plan spoils the result and creates risk. A workable approach is to move from the top floor downwards and leave the entrance section to a quieter hour. Points for building management to settle: working hours, lift use, water and electricity access, and which door waste leaves by. Agreeing these in advance within apartment and residence cleaning reduces interruptions on the day.
Protection choices in a furnished home
In a furnished home, window and frame work is tied directly to what stands in front of the window. Will curtains come down, and who takes them down? Should a cabinet, bookcase or plant be moved aside temporarily? Will coverings be laid along parquet and rug lines? The product used on wooden casings, painted sills, natural stone counters and polished surfaces depends on the material itself; where a surface is uncertain, information is needed before cleaning. If work happens near a sofa, treating upholstery washing as a separate decision is safer, since the fabric label must be read and airing planned; stain removal is not guaranteed.
Checks before and after
- How many windows and sashes; which sashes open from inside.
- A list of panes where the outer face is wanted, and how it is reached.
- Whether tracks and frames are included or quoted separately.
- Water, electricity and entrance or parking access.
- Existing conditions reported in advance: cracked glass, loose handles, worn gaskets.
- At the end: residue in tracks, frame corners, sill line and water marks on floors.
Are tracks and frames automatically included in window cleaning?
They should not be assumed. Because they add labour, state them explicitly when requesting a quote, and say how many windows you want them on.
When should shared-area windows be done?
Entrance and stairway glazing is best handled in quieter hours. Once working hours and water and electricity access are confirmed with management, the work order runs more smoothly.
