Start with the work required, not just floor area
A cleaning price needs more context than a property's size. Two apartments with identical floor plans may involve very different work: one may be empty and recently cleaned, while the other has greasy kitchen surfaces, full cupboards or renovation dust. A useful quote starts with the rooms and tasks involved, alongside the approximate floor area.
When requesting cleaning in Antalya, replace broad descriptions such as “deep cleaning” with specific requirements. List cupboard interiors, bathrooms, balcony floors and safely accessible windows. This gives you a clearer basis for comparing offers, without implying that every mark can be removed or that completion can be promised at a particular hour.
Which conditions affect the price?
- Size and layout: Share the approximate usable floor area and numbers of rooms, bathrooms and balconies. Several bathrooms can involve more work than a larger, mostly open space.
- Type of dirt: Routine dust, accumulated grease, limescale and renovation residue require different approaches. Identify paint or mortar deposits and the surfaces underneath them.
- Furniture and belongings: Crowded worktops and full cupboards restrict access. Do not assume that moving furniture or emptying storage is included.
- Surface materials: Mention wood, natural stone, lacquered finishes and delicate upholstery. Existing scratches, swelling or discolouration are also relevant.
- Access: Floor level, lifts, parking, building entry rules and available water and electricity affect preparation. The district and neighbourhood matter for travel planning.
Empty apartment cleaning and post-construction cleaning should not be treated as interchangeable. An empty property may still contain stubborn building residue. Discuss upholstery washing and window cleaning separately rather than assuming they belong to a general cleaning package.
A practical checklist for your quote request
Collect the following details in one message. Label estimated measurements as approximate. Photos can help explain conditions, but may not reveal every issue; keep personal documents, screens and private belongings out of view.
- Location: Antalya district, neighbourhood, building type and access restrictions.
- Service: Home, office/business premises, empty apartment, post-construction, apartment building/residential complex or villa cleaning; add upholstery washing or accessible windows if needed.
- Dimensions: Approximate floor area, rooms, bathrooms, balconies and floors to be cleaned.
- Current condition: Empty or furnished, occupied or unused, recent building work and visible deposits.
- Task list: Cupboard interiors, doors, skirting boards, kitchen surfaces, bathrooms and other priorities.
- Additional work: Upholstery items and their type; window numbers, positions and safe access.
- Preparation: Water and electricity availability, surfaces to clear and items needing protection.
- Timing: Preferred date, permitted entry hours and any move-in or handover schedule.
For example: “I need pre-move cleaning for an empty apartment in Kepez, approximately 90 square metres with two bathrooms. Please include cupboard interiors and the balcony. There is a lift, water and electricity. Friday is preferred; I can send photos of the windows.” This describes a request, not a price estimate.
Compare the scope before comparing totals
Check whether each quote covers the same work. “Kitchen included” might mean external surfaces only; cupboard interiors, the oven and the inside of the fridge need separate clarification. For upholstery washing, confirm which pieces are included and ask about ventilation and drying conditions rather than assuming a fixed drying time.
- Included and excluded tasks: Use the same checklist for every quote.
- Products and equipment: Ask who supplies them and how sensitive surfaces will be assessed.
- Total charge: Confirm whether taxes, travel and agreed additional treatments are included.
- Changes: Establish how extra work and any revised charge would be approved if conditions differ on arrival.
- Scheduling: Discuss date changes, entry arrangements and the final walkthrough.
The lowest total is not enough to judge suitability. A written scope and clear answers provide a more useful comparison. Also ask whether a photo-based estimate is provisional or represents the final quoted amount.
A sensible sequence from preparation to review
- Confirm the scope: Review the property at the start, noting existing damage and excluded areas.
- Prepare access: Remove personal belongings and empty cupboards where interior cleaning is agreed. Discuss heavy furniture before work begins.
- Address loose dirt first: Removing loose dust and debris before surface cleaning can reduce the need to clean finished areas again.
- Work by surface: A practical general sequence is top to bottom, with suitable equipment for kitchens and bathrooms and floors left until later.
- Review the checklist: Compare completed tasks with the agreed scope. Discuss remaining marks, inaccessible areas and precautions before using cleaned surfaces.
