The time needed depends on the apartment’s size, its condition and the agreed tasks, rather than a standard promise.
Walk through every room first. Record scratches, swollen flooring, cracked glass and signs of leaks. Keep these separate from dirt that needs cleaning: a dull patch on a worktop or a dark silicone joint may involve damage or maintenance rather than a removable stain.
Prepare the apartment and follow a sensible order
Confirm that water and electricity are available and arrange key access. Check lift use, the distance for carrying equipment and any building restrictions on working hours. Ventilate safely, read product labels and follow their instructions for gloves and other precautions. Never mix cleaning chemicals.
- List the scope: Include rooms, bathrooms, fitted cupboards, remaining appliances, balconies and safely accessible windows.
