If a stairwell is being washed while neighbours are coming home with shopping bags, wet steps stop being a cleaning detail and become a question of safe passage. In a villa the same day, the problem looks different: a bucket carried between floors, dust gathering at the base of the balustrade, and a large living-room window that really needs its own plan. Working without closing off the entrance and stairs
The most common constraint in shared areas is that the space is in use while the work happens. Why villa floors and large windows are handled separately
Stairs in a villa serve a different purpose from apartment stairs: they are an internal route, usually with the same floor covering as the upstairs rooms. Large windows should be treated as a separate item, because height, opening direction and outside access all differ. A mark that looks like a stain may be deposit, may be something that has affected the surface, or may involve a coating. Likewise, no method can be called suitable for a surface while the manufacturer's care instructions are unknown. Putting a special request into clear words
"Just clean everywhere" does not define scope. It is more useful to name the room, the item and the result together: "the two windows in the upstairs corridor, inside and outside", "the three entrance steps, not left slippery", "kitchen cupboard fronts only, interiors excluded". Anything that must not be touched should be named. Document destruction, paperwork sorting and electronics repair are not cleaning work and should be kept separate.

- Are water and power on, and where are the sockets and taps in shared areas?
- Is permission needed for the entrance, parking or lift?
- Are fragile items put away and "do not touch" items marked?
- Is the label on sofas or rugs visible?
- Afterwards: are wet floors dry, were handrails and door handles checked, was waste taken out of the building?
