When the mat at the building entrance is lifted, few people think about how slippery the floor underneath can be until cleaning actually starts. If you are arranging cleaning for a flat or for the shared areas of a building in Yenigün mahallesi, Muratpaşa, one question makes the rest easier before scope is discussed: who will use the entrance and the stairs during working hours, and are there elderly neighbours, prams or people carrying loads among them?

Two working patterns on wet floors

Cleaning an entrance hall and staircase differs from cleaning inside a flat, because the area stays in use whether you want it to or not. Two patterns can be discussed. In the first, the flight or a group of steps is split lengthwise, and one side stays walkable until the other dries. In the second, work moves floor by floor, moving up only after each landing is finished, so the wet surface stays in one place at a time. Which is possible depends on the number of staircases, whether there is a lift, and how busy the entrance is that day, so agree on it before work begins.

Warning signs, a dry mat at the door and telling neighbours a day earlier which door to use are small but effective decisions. Scope details for stairs are on the apartment and site cleaning page.

Where do common areas end?

Boundary disputes usually appear at three points: the small area in front of a flat door, the landing windows, and the basement or car park entrance. Settling these in writing with the building management beforehand prevents "do this bit too" requests during the work. Three distinctions help: who pays for the cleaning, who uses the area, and whether a separate key is needed for access. Landing and stairwell glass should be discussed separately; for work limited to reachable panes, see window cleaning.

Walking through together at the end

When the work is finished, walking the area with the team in the same order is the most practical check: front door, letterbox area, first landing, flights, top floor. During this walk you confirm together whether the floor has dried and whether moved items are back in place. If you notice a mark on glass or flooring, note it, but do not decide by looking whether it is a scratch, a stain or the condition of a surface coating. That distinction requires expert assessment, and no method is suitable without knowing the manufacturer's care instructions.

The eight services in brief

Home cleaning covers kitchen, bathroom and living areas. Office cleaning has a limit for electronics and documents. Post-construction cleaning separates coarse debris from fine work. Empty-flat cleaning covers cupboard interiors, bathroom, kitchen and floors, and needs water and power. Apartment and site cleaning covers stairs, landings and entrance. Villa cleaning sets a work order; pool care is not included. Upholstery washing starts with the fabric label, with no stain-removal guarantee. Window cleaning is limited to reachable glass.

Checkpoints before and after

  • Before: list items to move off the stairs, such as rugs, plant pots or bicycles.
  • Before: check water and power access and that lighting works.
  • Before: put the common-area boundary and access hours in writing with management.
  • After: confirm together that floors are dry and when signs can be removed.
  • After: complete handover of doors, railings and keys during the same walk.

Is the staircase closed completely during cleaning?

Not necessarily. Splitting a flight or working floor by floor keeps passage open in most buildings; which applies is agreed before starting, based on the building's layout and how busy it is that day.

Are landing windows part of the common-area scope?

That is a boundary matter to settle with management in advance. Windows are not included until it is clear whether the glass is reachable and whose scope the work falls under.
