If both happen the same day, the walking route over wet floors must be planned: which flight stays closed and when, and whether a second way down exists. Fabric and drying conditions in upholstery
The decision starts with the fabric, not the stain. If the care label is readable, the manufacturer's instructions are taken as the basis; without that information a method cannot be considered suitable. In a closed room with limited ventilation, drying takes longer, so which windows open and whether the sofa can be moved are discussed in advance.
