The painting is finished, the tiles are laid, the tradesmen have packed up their tools and gone; yet fine dust is still everywhere. Even in rooms that were never touched, a whitish film has settled on top of cupboards, around sockets and on curtain and sofa fabrics. Can you shift this dust with a regular home clean? To a degree, yes; but plaster and mortar dust turns to sludge when wiped with a wet cloth and smears across the surface, while adhesive and silicone residue can damage floors or furniture if forced off with the wrong product. Post-renovation villa and home cleaning in Antalya is a detailed cleaning service designed to rid lived-in or furnished spaces of this dust and residue and make them ready for everyday use again.
Antalya CGS Temizlik plans this service from its Kepez base across the districts of Antalya; for outlying districts, the date, travel and scope are agreed in advance. Below you will find what the service covers, what is discussed separately, how the method changes according to the surface, and what you need to prepare before the appointment.
Which types of renovation call for this service?
Painting and decorating, kitchen and bathroom refits, tile and floor covering replacement, parquet work, plasterboard and suspended ceiling installation, electrical and plumbing work, window and joinery replacement; each of these leaves behind fine dust and a different kind of residue. Even if the work was confined to a single room, dust travels under doors and through ventilation into other rooms; it reaches the tops of light fittings, door frames, the outer casings of air-conditioning units and radiators, and even the insides of closed cupboards.
The service on this page is for homes and villas where the furniture is in place and daily life carries on. If you are looking for a builders' clean of a newly handed-over, largely empty flat or business premises, our post-construction cleaning service is the better fit. For a deep clean of a home that has not been renovated but has been shut up for a long time or is changing tenants, see our furnished home cleaning page, and for regular upkeep, our villa cleaning guide.

Why does the method depend on the surface?
Dry first, then damp: the order of dust removal
Plaster, mortar and sanding dust is extremely fine. Wiped straight away with a wet cloth, it turns to sludge, forms a film on the surface and leaves dull streaks. That is why the first step is always to lift the dust with a dry cloth and a vacuum fitted with a filter suited to fine dust; damp wiping only follows after this stage. The same order applies to textiles: curtain and sofa fabrics are vacuumed first, never wetted.
Type of residue and sensitivity of the surface
The product and method used to remove residue are chosen according to the surface beneath as much as the residue itself. Natural stone such as marble and travertine is sensitive to acid; if an acidic product is used to lift grout haze, the stone loses its shine. Laminate flooring does not tolerate excess water; moisture seeping through the joints causes swelling. Lacquered furniture, stainless steel and glass can be scratched by abrasive sponges or scrapers. For this reason, wherever there is any doubt, a test is carried out first on an inconspicuous area. If residue has bonded to the surface or removing it would cause damage, the process is not forced; you are told clearly what the situation is. We do not guarantee in advance that all residue will come off, because the result depends on the condition of the surface and the residue.
Points that change the planning in villas
Post-renovation villa cleaning is the same set of tasks carried out across a larger, multi-level space. Several floors and staircases mean dust has to be worked from top to bottom, so the clean starts on the upper floor. Large glazed areas, terrace, balcony and veranda floors, the garage and outbuildings are each assessed individually during the site visit. Outdoor areas such as terraces and balconies can be included on request; the garden, pool and exterior façade are not automatically part of this service and are discussed separately if you need them.
Protecting furnishings from dust and dealing with textiles
Whether the furniture was protected with plastic sheeting or dust covers during the works directly determines how detailed the clean needs to be. Surface dust is lifted quickly from covered items, whereas sofas, carpets and curtains left exposed draw dust deep into their fibres. These textiles are vacuumed first. If the fabric still feels dusty or shows marks after vacuuming, sofa cleaning can be scheduled within the same appointment; this is a separate service and the decision depends on whether the fabric is suitable. If you move fragile ornaments, pictures and valuables out of the way before the clean, the work is both safer and quicker.
What should you prepare before the appointment?
Getting the timing right is the single most important factor in making the result last. A clean carried out before the tradesmen have completely finished, or before the final coat of paint and the silicone have cured, is wasted effort; the dust simply reappears the next day. Before the appointment, all you need to do is the following:
- Confirm that all trade work is completely finished and that the paint and silicone have cured
- Make sure the water and electricity are switched on
- Arrange the key handover or access details
- Move fragile items and valuables out of the way
- Let us know which rooms were renovated and what kind of work was done
- If possible, send a few photos of the space as it is now via WhatsApp
How does post-renovation villa and home cleaning in Antalya proceed?
- Consultation and site assessment: We discuss the type of renovation, how far it spread, the surface types and the state of the furnishings; the scope is confirmed from photos or an on-site look.
- Rough clean: Where the renovation was extensive, larger debris and heavy dust are removed first; this stage is planned separately if needed.
- Dry dust removal: Starting from the top floor and the ceilings, light fittings, tops of cupboards, walls and textiles are vacuumed.
- Residue removal: Paint, mortar, adhesive and silicone residue are tackled with a product suited to the surface, with a spot test where necessary.
- Damp wiping and detail: Emptied cupboard interiors, sockets, doors, joinery, bathroom and kitchen surfaces and windows are wiped down.
- Floors and final check: Floors are cleaned according to their surface type; the space is walked through with you, and any spots left untouched to avoid damaging the surface are pointed out.
What determines the quote
The price of a post-renovation clean depends on the condition of the space, which is why we do not give a firm figure before a consultation. The factors that affect the quote are: the size of the space and the number of floors; the type of renovation and how many rooms it covered; the density of residue and the sensitivity of the surfaces; whether the furniture was covered; the amount of glazing; whether outdoor areas such as terraces, balconies and garages are included; and whether a phased approach is required. Sharing this information in advance allows us to prepare a more accurate quote.
