A glass carafe standing on the living room table and a dinner set on the top shelf of a kitchen cabinet are not the same thing when you plan a cleaning job. The first can be moved to a safe surface in seconds; for the second, you need to decide in advance whether the cabinet will be emptied at all, and if so, where its contents will go. Fragile items and cabinet interiors
Cleaning inside a cabinet is a different task from wiping its doors. If the shelves are full, there are two routes: you empty them beforehand and the team cleans only bare shelves, or emptying is included in the scope and you agree together on a temporary surface for the contents. If you do not want porcelain, glassware, decorative objects, clocks, framed pictures or collected pieces handled at all, say so when booking; they go on a do-not-touch list. The same logic applies to empty flat cleaning: even a flat that looks empty may still hold forgotten items on high shelves.
Water, electricity and entry
At some addresses, especially after a move or after a long vacancy, water and power may be switched off. Treat living areas and wet rooms separately

If a surface looks marked, dull or scratched, whether that is a coating, wear or a stain needs an expert look on site; do not try to diagnose it yourself. Should I empty the cabinets myself?
Not necessarily, but doing it beforehand reduces both risk and time when fragile or personal items are involved. If you want emptying included, mention it on the phone.
Can cleaning be done if the water is off?
Only partly. Dry dusting and some surface work may be possible, but wet rooms and floor washing need running water. Say so before the appointment.
