Picture a living room: the floor looks clean after sweeping, yet two days later a fine grey film settles on the bookshelf again. Usually this is not because the home got dirty, but because dust left from renovation work is still moving through the air and out of gaps in surfaces. If you are arranging cleaning in Çağlayan, a neighbourhood of the Manavgat district in Antalya, separating these two situations is the step that saves the most time.
Renovation dust or everyday dirt?
Everyday dirt comes from use: kitchen grease, limescale in the bathroom, footprints, residue on the counter. It is handled with regular cleaning. Renovation dust comes from plaster, screed, timber cutting or paint sanding. Because it is extremely fine, it settles on cornices, around sockets, between radiator fins, on top of wardrobes and in curtain folds. Wiping it once with a wet cloth often just spreads it, which is why the dust has to be removed in stages.
When describing your request, clarify one thing: has any demolition, painting, plastering or flooring work been done in the last three months? If yes, the job is closer to post-construction cleaning. If not, standard home cleaning covering the kitchen, bathroom and living areas is the better fit. For an empty flat between tenancies, cabinet interiors and floors are handled from scratch as a separate scope, and whether water and electricity are connected is discussed beforehand.
Fragile items and access to cabinets
This is the part most often skipped. Glassware in display units, ornaments on side tables, framed pictures and desktop electronics all need a decision in advance: are they left in place, will you move them yourself, or are they to be left untouched? Repairing electronics, sorting paperwork or destroying documents are not cleaning services; if you clear papers from desks beforehand, the work moves far faster.
Cabinet interiors are not automatically included either. A full wardrobe can only be wiped inside if it has been emptied. Answering "which cabinets will be opened" room by room shapes both the duration and your expectations.
Floors and large glass in a villa
In a multi-storey building the order of work differs from a single-floor flat: progress goes from top down so dust falls ahead of you, the stairwell counts as its own stage, and a route across wet floors has to be agreed. Villa cleaning does not include pool maintenance, so it helps to set that aside from the start.
Large glass is a separate item. Glass cleaning is assessed according to reachable panes, frames and surface condition; no commitment is made for work at height or on risky façades. Marks, scratches, dullness or coating-related appearances on glass may not disappear with cleaning. Telling them apart requires an expert assessment on site and cannot be diagnosed with simple home tests.
The remaining scopes in brief
In offices, work areas, shared spaces and toilets are covered, with limits agreed for electronics and documents. In apartment blocks and complexes, stairs, landings, entrances and common areas are included. For sofa cleaning, the fabric label is checked and a suitable method and ventilation planned; no promise is made that a stain will come out.
Checkpoints before and after
- Before: State the date and type of any renovation work.
- Before: List the cabinets to be opened and empty them.
- Before: Make a "do not touch" list for fragile items.
- Before: Mention water and power access, number of floors and glass panes.
- After: Check cabinet tops, door frames and radiator gaps.
- After: Inspect glass in daylight from different angles.
Can post-renovation cleaning be finished in one go?
Fine dust keeps settling, so the scope is usually split into a rough stage and a detailed stage. Seeing the site or describing it in detail determines the right scope.
Why does a mark stay on the glass?
Besides surface dirt, the mark may be a scratch or related to a coating. Such marks may not be removable by cleaning, and the cause cannot be identified from a distance.
To settle the scope, share your address in Çağlayan along with floor and room details and speak with CGS Temizlik on 0537 445 01 91. Head office: Sütçüler Mahallesi 15 Temmuz Şehitler Cd No:109/D, Kepez/Antalya. Service coverage is discussed according to address and access conditions.
