The keys are in hand, the flat is completely empty, and the move is a few days away. This gap is usually the easiest time to have cleaning done: no furniture, open floors, empty cupboards. Even in a flat in Kırbaş, a neighbourhood of the Serik district of Antalya, what decides the result is rarely the product used — it is the order in which the work is done. A wrong sequence dirties a finished surface again and makes you pay for the same job twice.
What comes first in an empty flat?
Empty flat cleaning works from top to bottom and from inside out. Cupboard and drawer interiors, shelves, socket surrounds and door frames come first, because their dust falls to the floor anyway. Wet areas — bathroom and kitchen — follow. Floors are left for last. If painting, plaster or tiling has just finished, the situation changes: that is not maintenance cleaning but post-construction cleaning, where dust is removed in stages and should not be expected to end in a single pass. Saying which situation you are in beforehand lets the team arrive prepared.
Marks seen after glass cleaning are not always dirt
Marks visible against the light after glass has been wiped can come from several things: residue left on the surface, drying streaks, old hardened water spotting, a coating on the glass, or surface damage left by mortar splashes from the construction stage. These cannot be told apart reliably by eye, and testing with a finger or fingernail to work out "which side the scratch is on" is not a trustworthy method — it mostly adds more smudges. The sensible step is to note the mark in daylight and show it to the team rather than forcing it with repeated scrubbing. A permanent mark is the limit of glass cleaning; the nature of surface damage needs expert assessment, and no method can be called suitable without knowing the manufacturer's care instructions.
Balcony, interior glass and floors without cross-contamination
If these three are done the same day, order matters. The balcony is usually the dustiest area and the one where most water is used; going to interior glass straight after washing a balcony risks tracked footprints and carried moisture. A workable order is: remove loose dust and waste from the balcony, then do interior glass and frames, then wash the balcony floor, and finish with interior floors last. If the balcony has no drainage, or if water and electricity are not yet connected, this order changes completely — mention it when arranging the appointment.
Check points before and after
- Are water and electricity on, and is there hot water?
- Any remaining furniture, packaging or construction waste, and who removes bulk waste?
- Are cupboard interiors included, or only external faces?
- Can the outer face of the windows be reached safely from inside?
- What is the floor type: laminate, wood, ceramic, natural stone?
- After the work: are cupboard interiors dry, are glass edges and frame bases clean, is water standing in the balcony drain, were thresholds and door backs missed?
Scope in brief
CGS Temizlik covers homes, offices and workplaces, apartment and estate common areas, villas, empty flats, post-construction work, upholstery washing and glass cleaning. Upholstery fabric labels are inspected; stain removal cannot be promised. Villa work excludes pool maintenance. In offices, electronic devices and documents are outside the scope. Whether service can be given is agreed by address and access conditions.
Cupboards empty, or during the move?
Cupboard interiors can only be cleaned properly while fully empty, and they need time to dry. Once belongings are in, that part of the scope shrinks.
What if marks remain after the glass is cleaned?
Note where the mark is in daylight and show it to the team. Do not try harsh abrasives yourself; the condition of the surface should be assessed on site.
