When someone asks for windows to be cleaned, the picture in mind is usually two polished panes. The same job, however, includes the dust packed into the lower track, marks along the sash profile and the outer edge of the frame. If these are not agreed in advance, the tracks get wiped after the glass and dirty water runs back down the pane. Are the two faces of the glass, the track and the frame one job?
It helps to split the scope into three parts: the inner face of the pane, the outer face, and the track, frame and similar details. The inner face is usually reachable. Access to the outside depends on how the window opens. If the sash swings fully inward, it can be reached without leaning out; a fixed or narrowly opening sash changes the picture. So instead of saying "outside included", it is more useful to describe how your windows open. Tracks are a separate matter. A build-up of sand and dust that is wetted before being lifted dry turns to mud and settles into the corners of the profile. Why cabinet interiors and exteriors are discussed separately
"Clean the cabinets" can mean two different jobs. The outside, meaning door fronts and handles, is mostly about grease film and fingerprints. The inside requires emptying: jars, plates and dry goods have to come off the shelves first. Who empties them, where they go and whether they are put back should be settled beforehand, otherwise the job stalls halfway. In homes already vacated the split is clearer; vacant flat cleaning is defined around cabinet interiors, bathroom, kitchen and floors. In an occupied home, a request for home cleaning should state plainly whether interiors are included.
Balcony, interior glass and floors: what order
These three easily undo each other. Water splashing during a balcony wash marks the balcony door glass; floors cleaned too early end up with drip lines from the window edges. The general approach is top to bottom and dirty to clean: balcony and outer details first, then interior panes and frames, floors last. If the balcony has no drain, or water runs to the flat below, a more controlled method is needed instead of wet washing, and that is decided once the address is seen.

What happens to curtains and insect screens?
An insect screen in place blocks the outer face. Whether it is removed, where it is placed and whether it goes back on should be agreed at the start. The same applies to curtains.
Can cabinet interiors and glass be done on the same visit?
It depends on scope and access. If both are wanted, the emptying of cabinets is planned before the glass and floor stages, so that contents are not set down on wet surfaces.
