When a flat or a workplace comes out of renovation, one thing happens again and again: the cleaning is finished, and the next morning a thin film of dust is back on the same surfaces. This does not always mean the work was poor; more often it means the renovation itself is not really over. If you are arranging cleaning for an address in the Karşıyaka mahallesi of Kumluca, this is the first thing to sort out: has the space stopped producing dust or not?
Finished, or just paused?
Ask yourself: is the plaster, filler and sanding work fully done? Will a tradesperson return for cutting, drilling or fixing? Are skirting boards, door handles and socket covers mounted? Has the final coat of paint gone on? If even one of these is open, a full detailed clean may be premature.
In that case a two-stage approach is usually preferred: coarse debris and heavy dust first, then the fine clean once installations are complete. Under post-construction cleaning this split is agreed in advance, because if work resumes after a single fine clean, the dust simply spreads again. Ventilation gaps, air-conditioning vents, cabinet tops and suspended ceiling edges are among the places that keep releasing trapped dust. With paint and mortar residue, the surface type decides the method; laminate, natural stone, painted walls and matt finishes are not treated the same way.
Around documents and electronics at work
In offices, desktops are where dust most often reappears, because they are usually left untouched. That is a sensible limit, but it should not be a blind one. When office and workplace cleaning is planned, some decisions are made beforehand: which desks will be cleared, which paper stacks stay untouched, whether cable runs and the backs of cabinets are included, and who handles screens and keyboards.
Sorting or destroying documents, or opening devices to clean inside them, is not a cleaning service. The practical answer is usually simple: papers go into lidded boxes, sensitive equipment is switched off beforehand and covered if needed, and the team cleans around and beneath those areas. The boundary stays clear and the dust is removed rather than redistributed.
Two sides of the glass, frames and rails
"Clean the windows" does not describe a scope on its own. Three points need clarifying: inner face only or both faces, frames and casings included or not, and whether rails and hinge recesses are covered. After renovation, sand and plaster residue in the rails often takes more work than the glass itself, and it turns to mud if it is not lifted dry first.
Access to the outer face depends on how the window opens and on the floor level. No promise is made for façades that cannot be reached safely. Scratches, cloudiness or what looks like a coating on glass are not resolved by cleaning; telling them apart requires an on-site expert assessment. The scope of window cleaning is set after access and surface condition are discussed.
Checkpoints before and after
- Before: is trade work finished, are water and power on, is there a route for waste.
- Before: papers and devices packed away, no-touch zones marked.
- Before: inner/outer glass, frame and rail decisions made.
- After: check cabinet tops, vents and rail ends by hand.
- After: look again at surfaces following a few hours of ventilation.
The eight services in brief
Home cleaning covers kitchen, bathroom and living areas. Empty flat cleaning focuses on cupboard interiors, bathroom, kitchen and floors before a move. Villa cleaning sets the order of floors, rooms and stairs by how the house is used; pool maintenance is not included. Apartment and site cleaning covers stairs, landings and shared areas. Upholstery washing begins with the fabric label and plans drying time; stain removal is not guaranteed. Post-construction, office and window work are detailed above.
What if dust returns after the clean?
Look for the source first: ongoing installation, an open window, an active work area, or ceiling and vent dust that was never lifted. If the source is still active, it is better to schedule the second fine clean after that work ends.
How is scope set if desks cannot be cleared?
No-touch areas are agreed in advance, and the team works around them, underneath them and on the floor. Filing and any work inside devices stay outside the scope.
